Helping business owners focus on what they do best.

Hi, I’m Christie, and I believe business owners should spend their time running and growing their businesses—not worrying about bookkeeping.

One of the things I tell clients most often is, “Let me take this off your plate. You didn’t go into business to be a bookkeeper.” That simple philosophy has guided my career for more than 25 years.

I genuinely enjoy bringing clarity to the financial side of a business by creating organized systems, improving processes, and finding practical solutions that make bookkeeping less overwhelming. Whether I’m solving a bookkeeping challenge, streamlining a workflow, or implementing new technology, my goal is always the same—to make life a little easier for my clients and colleagues.

I’m naturally curious and enjoy learning. I’m always exploring new technology, AI tools, and better processes that help us work smarter while continuing to provide the personal service our clients deserve.

The best part of my job has always been the relationships. I believe business is built on trust, and there’s nothing more rewarding than watching new clients become long-term friends.

When I am not working on behalf of others I'm probably...

On my porch with a cup of coffee, planning my next family vacation or girls’ getaway.

Exploring charming small towns, discovering hidden gems, and finding unique local coffee shops and restaurants.

Working on a home decorating or organization project.
Browsing a stationery store looking for my next favorite planner or notebook.

Learning about new technology, AI tools, and creative ways to make life and work a little easier.

Spending time with my husband, family, and friends.

Present.

Experience

Pittman Legal & Tax Advisors
Indianapolis, IN
2018 – Present

I have worked in the accounting field since graduating high school in Eastern Greene County (Bloomfield, IN). I always knew accounting was the field I wanted to go into. I went to work right out of high school as an office manager for Griner Engineering, and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech.

I married my husband in 1995 and moved to Eminence, IN. I went to work for E.K. Williams & Company for over 15 years, doing monthly bookkeeping for small businesses—specializing in gas stations and convenience stores—before joining Pittman Legal & Tax Advisors in 2018.

I love working downtown. If I take a long lunch on Wednesdays, you’ll find me at the Farmer’s Market. And as much as I love being downtown, I find real comfort knowing that at the end of the day I get to go home to my country life. It truly is the best of both worlds.
